The Maleny Visitor Information Centre community website http://maleny.qld.au has a list of ‘Where to Stay from Eumundi in the north, Kilcoy in the west, Caboolture in the south and east of the Bruce Highway?  See map below.

On the website you can now check availability and book online.  There are two filters to help you specify the category you are looking for and/or the location.  The categories are:

  • Bed & Breakfast / Lodge
  • Budget
  • Caravan/Cabins/Camping
  • Farms, Country Cottages
  • Holiday Let
  • Inn/Hotel/Motel
  • Luxury Villas/Cottages/Retreats

All entries now have a link to all the information you may need, with plenty of photographs and even customer feedback.  Many also give a guest rating – to help you decide where you would like to stay.  However there are a few businesses that don’t have on-line booking systems and for these the link will advise you to email and/or telephone.

Kaalba

Perched on the hillside only a hundred metres from the Obi Obi Creek, Kaalba is a delightful self-contained studio with views out over the rain-forested valley. It is in a quiet and protected location. Throughout the year more than ninety species of bird can be seen (and heard) from the veranda.  When it’s raining the sound of the river fills the valley.

The studio is self-contained, with a queen-size bed, a living area, a small kitchen and external barbecue (Weber), ensuite and north-facing deck. It is air-conditioned, has WiFi and a smart TV with a DVD player (no free to air) and a good library of discs.

Situated on the east side of Maleny it is seven minutes from the town centre and ten minutes from Montville – only thirty-five minutes to the coast – close to several of the most popular wedding venues on the Range.

This is a special place: a short walk leads to a deep fifty metre long swimming hole with basalt rock steps. A little further and you’ll discover the waterfall and rapids. Platypus live in the creek, if you’re an early riser you can almost guarantee to see them.

Glass on Glasshouse

Glass on Glasshouse Welcome

Glass on Glasshouse

For many years we have been the proud owners of a beautiful B&B we built on the beautiful NSW south coast.  After 15 years we decided to build some luxury cabins, somewhere beautiful and unspoilt.  After much searching we found the Glasshouse Mountains – such a beautiful part of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and only 50 mins north of Brisbane.  The area is dominated by the fascinating and mysterious Glasshouse Mountains.  It’s an ideal place for bushwalkers, climbers, cyclists, bird-watchers, artists, photographers and those who just need to get away from it all and breathe some fresh country air. It’s also a great base to explore the numerous attractions of the Sunshine Coast.

We have three stunning modern cottages, designed by award-winning Maleny architect Norman Richards. Here you can admire the spectacular mountain views and wild kangaroos through two walls of floor-to-ceiling glass that let you feel as if you’re actually outside.  Sleep soundly in a comfortable king-size bed or relax in a gorgeous freestanding double spa bath. For those romantic winter nights there is a 2-sided eco-smart fire shared between the bathroom and lounge. A daily breakfast basket is included, and there is an on-site café open 7 days. The cottages have won a number of awards including ‘the most romantic accommodation in Queensland’ and were voted the ‘Best B&B in Australia’ two years running.

Spoil yourself by staying in a stylish and romantic cottage that you won’t want to leave.
